Details: Rubio said that news will emerge "pretty soon" regarding US$400 million in military aid for Ukraine that had been approved by Congress but remains delayed at the Pentagon level.

US Republican Congressman Don Bacon reported that the House of Representatives had voted to continue consideration of a petition calling for military aid to Ukraine and tougher sanctions against Russia.

Previously: A bipartisan group of US senators criticised delays by the Department of Defense in providing US$600 million in security assistance to Ukraine and other allies in Eastern Europe, sending a letter on 22 May to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth demanding that the funds be released.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Defence stated that partner countries' contributions to the PURL programme are sufficient to continue deliveries of critical weapons to Ukraine from the US.
