Russia attacks Ukraine with 155 drones, air defence destroys 124, hits recorded

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with 155 Shahed, Gerbera and Italmas attack drones, Banderol loitering munitions and Parodiya decoy drones on the night of 7-8 June.

Details: As of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 124 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and Banderol loitering munitions in the country's north, south and east.

Hits by 20 UAVs have been recorded at 17 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at six locations.

Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.

The attack is ongoing, as around 10 Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
