EU enlargement commissioner visits Kyiv to discuss reforms

European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos is visiting Kyiv to support Ukraine's implementation of the reforms required for its accession to the European Union.

Details: The press service said Commissioner Kos has arrived in Kyiv to discuss Ukraine's European integration reforms.

"Today, Commissioner Kos is in Kyiv. Her visit will focus on supporting Ukraine's EU accession reforms, wartime recovery, and the strengthening of political and societal support for European integration," the press service said.

Kos has met with Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko and senior government officials to discuss progress on reforms and EU support priorities, including preparations for the coming winter.

Background:

  • As previously reported by European Pravda, Kos visited Moldova last week.
  • The commissioner has also announced that she plans to visit Armenia "as soon as possible" following the parliamentary election victory of the party led by pro-European Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
