Details: Asked by the presenter whether he would accept fixing the current front line in the event of a ceasefire with Russia, Zelenskyy replied: "Yes. It's the quickest way."

However, he stressed that Ukraine wants to end the war in a way that prevents it from returning.

"It's not the idea just to freeze, but the quickest way is to freeze and move it to a diplomatic setting," he explained.

Asked whether this would amount to giving Russia what it wants at the moment, Zelenskyy responded: "No, it's not just to give. To stay where we are means to give the people of Ukraine more possibilities to save their children, and for soldiers to come back. I think this is important for us."

In the same interview with Sky News, Zelenskyy also said Ukraine would continue its campaign of strikes deep inside Russian territory.

"We will not simply die in silence. We will fight back. We will grow stronger and stronger every day," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, Putin will only listen to what Kyiv and its allies have to say when he is subjected to "total pressure".

He added that the recent attacks had demonstrated that Ukrainian drones would strike Russian towns and major cities, not just remote villages.

"We will bring back their war on their territory," the president said.
