Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has met King Charles III of the United Kingdom.

Details: During the audience, Zelenskyy thanked the King for his support for the Ukrainian people.

Quote: "As always, a good audience with His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I thank His Majesty, the people and the entire United Kingdom for their ironclad support for our people."

Details: British media outlets reported that the private audience took place at Windsor Castle.

The King has publicly supported Kyiv since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion and previously met Ukrainian refugees who sought shelter in the UK.

On 7 June, Zelenskyy briefed the leaders of the UK, France and Germany in London about the situation on the battlefield and Russian losses.
Zelenskyy also discussed Ukraine's needs in the war against Russia with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
