Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk meets Trump in Washington

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight titles, has met US President Donald Trump in Washington.

Details: A photo of the meeting was posted on X (Twitter) by Margo Martin, Trump's special assistant and communications adviser.

Previously: Prior to the meeting, Usyk also visited the Pentagon.

The UFC Freedom 250 tournament will take place at the White House on 14 June. It is being organised to mark the 250th anniversary of the adoption of the US Declaration of Independence.

Background: The last time Usyk stepped into the ring was on 23 May, when he defeated Rico Verhoeven in a hard-fought bout.
