Details: Jeff2146 said that a company spokesperson confirmed to him during the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition that Cockerill has entered into a contract to supply 30 turrets, which will be fitted to Leopard 1 tanks operated by Ukrainian forces.

"The first five systems will be delivered in June of 2027 with the remainder to be delivered by the end of 2027. It is currently not clear who is paying for this contract," the analyst said.

Meanwhile, Militarnyi, a Ukrainian military news outlet, reported, citing a Cockerill spokesperson, that the expansion of deliveries of autonomous turrets to Ukraine is expected to be discussed by the defence ministers of Belgium and Ukraine.
