Details: The affected regions are Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson and Donetsk oblasts.

"Emergency repair work has already begun where the security situation allows. Energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible," Ukrenergo said.

Ukrenergo has urged consumers to shift their heavy electricity use to the period between 10:00 and 16:00 and to limit consumption between 16:00 and 23:00.

Background: Ukraine aims to restore its power generation capacity to 54 GW by 2035, returning to the level it had before Russia's aggression began in 2014.
