Quote: "After consulting with Prime Minister Donald Tusk, while maintaining responsibility towards public opinion and in accordance with legal regulations, I have ordered the declassification of all donations to Ukraine for the years 2022-2026."

Details: The minister noted that the process of providing military aid was initiated by the PiS government under then-defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak, and that the president is kept informed of each aid transfer – currently Karol Nawrocki and previously Andrzej Duda.

"I have also instructed the SKW to investigate who intentionally sought to disclose state secrets. We are operating in conditions of war at our border; every action against Polish national interest endangers the security of Polish women and men," the minister wrote.

The minister's remarks came in response to opposition accusations that the government has secretly transferred Patriot missiles to Ukraine.

Krzysztof Bosak, deputy speaker of the Polish Sejm and Confederation leader, claimed on 4 July that "in March, the government transferred to Ukraine expensive and difficult-to-procure interceptor missiles for the Patriot system secretly from the Sejm".

He stressed that "Poland purchased them from the US to build a multi-layered air defence system" and that these missiles are the only ones in the Polish military's arsenal capable of countering Russian Iskander missiles.

Background: Recently, the Polish defence minister said Ukraine had withdrawn from an agreement under which Poland would transfer MiG-29 fighter jets in exchange for access to drone technologies.
