Details: The affected oblasts are Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia. Russian strikes targeted civilian energy infrastructure facilities, among other objects.

Emergency repair works have begun where security conditions allow. Energy workers are doing everything possible to bring power back to all affected consumers as quickly as possible.

Ukrenergo warned that the situation in the energy system may change and called on consumers to monitor updates from regional energy distribution companies.

Background: On the night of 5-6 July, Russia launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using attack drones as well as air-, land- and sea-launched missiles of various types. Ukrainian air defences downed 363 out of 419 aerial assets, while 29 ballistic missiles and 18 attack drones struck 34 locations.
