Details: The administration said damage has been recorded to a number of residential buildings and local gas networks in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi, Darnytskyi, Podilskyi and Obolonskyi districts.

For residents' safety, emergency repair crews from Kyivgaz temporarily suspended gas distribution to damaged buildings connected to the gas network. Work to deal with the aftermath of the attack is ongoing.

Background:

  • Russia launched a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine using attack drones as well as air-, land- and sea-launched missiles of various types on the night of 5-6 July. Ukrainian air defences have downed 363 out of 419 aerial assets, while 29 ballistic missiles and 18 attack drones have struck 34 locations.
  • Train movement was restricted on some sections of railway in Kyiv Oblast for security reasons, meaning a number of services will travel with delays along backup routes.
  • New power outages have been recorded in six oblasts of Ukraine following another massive Russian missile and drone attack.
