Details: Kosiniak-Kamysz said he wants to honour the victims of the Volyn tragedy. [The Volyn (Volhynia) tragedy was a series of events that led to the ethnic cleansing of the Polish and Ukrainian populations in 1943 during World War II. "For many years now, Vitalii Skomarovskyi, the Bishop of Lutsk, has organised memorial ceremonies there. Our thoughts and prayers will be with all those who were killed simply because they were Polish. The victims call not for revenge, but for remembrance and truth," he added.
