Zelenskyy arrives in France

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Paris on 13 July.

Details: Zelenskyy travelled to the French capital to take part in a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Earlier, media outlets reported that the meeting would bring together at least 25 heads of state or government to discuss support for Ukraine.

Leaders of the Coalition of the Willing will focus on cooperation in air defence, in particular on recently announced US plans to license the production of Patriot systems in Ukraine. They will also discuss the creation of a missile defence system.

Zelenskyy is also expected to attend the Bastille Day military parade on 16 July, in which Ukrainian troops will take part.

Background: More than 30 member states of the Coalition of the Willing, following a meeting on 24 February, confirmed their role in providing multi-layered security guarantees for Ukraine with US support.
