Details: The first delivery from Unterlüß to Ukraine includes "a low five-figure number of projectiles", as well as propellant charges manufactured at other Rheinmetall facilities.

"More than half of the order has already been delivered. The remaining projectiles and propellant charges are due to follow by the end of 2026," the release states.

The German company delivered to the Armed Forces of Ukraine "latest product in Rheinmetall's artillery portfolio" – the RH1412 shell. Rheinmetall explained that these can be used across various 155mm calibre systems, and the munitions offer long range and high firing effectiveness.

The company says by 2030 Rheinmetall plans will produce around 1.5 million 155mm artillery shells annually.

Background: Rheinmetall previously received a contract from Ukraine for the supply of artillery shells and propellant charges.
