Russian ballistic attack on Kyiv kills two, teenager among those injured – photos

Two people have been killed in a Russian ballistic missile attack on the city of Kyiv on the morning of 16 July.

Quote from Klitschko: "Two people have been killed in Kyiv as a result of an enemy attack. Six residents of the capital have been injured."

Details: Klitschko said that a 16-year-old boy was among those injured. He also added that three people had been taken to hospital.

Update: Emergency services later reported that two people had been killed and five injured, including one child.

Kyiv's Sviatoshynskyi and Darnytskyi districts came under attack.

Fires broke out in an office and warehouse building, in lorries parked nearby and in another warehouse building in the Darnytskyi district.

Quote from the State Emergency Service: "The fires have been extinguished. Sadly, two people have been killed. Two people, including one child, have been injured."

Details: A strike caused a fire in a single-storey warehouse building in the Sviatoshynskyi district. Three people have been injured.

Emergency services added that the fire had been contained.

Quote from the State Emergency Service: "Rescue workers are continuing to deal with the consequences of the Russian attack. Information on casualties is being confirmed."
