Maksym Tsutskiridze to be appointed acting chief of Ukraine's National Police
The acting chief of the National Police will be Maksym Tsutskiridze, First Deputy Chief of Police and Head of the Main Investigative Department.

Details: As reported, National Police chief Ivan Vyhivskyi was appointed Interior Minister on 16 July.
The National Police website says Tsutskiridze served as deputy head of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police from December 2017 to September 2019.
From September 2019 to September 2023, he was Deputy Head of the National Police, subsequently becoming First Deputy Head.
Background: On 16 July, the Ukrainian parliament approved the appointment of Serhii Koretskyi as prime minister. Koretskyi previously served as CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine, the country's largest oil and gas company, and Ukrnafta, Ukraine's largest oil producer. Parliament has also appointed a new Cabinet of Ministers.
