Details: The Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) recorded a five-percentage-point drop in Putin's rating over the past week to 66%, which is the most significant decline in the Russian ruler's approval rating since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

According to FOM's poll, trust in the Kremlin leader also fell from 69% to 67%.

Pro-Kremlin pollsters VTsIOM have also continued to record declining ratings for Putin. According to VTsIOM, approval of Putin's performance fell by 0.9 percentage points to 65.1% between 6 and 12 July, while trust in Putin dropped by 1.3 percentage points to 71%.

VTsIOM recorded the fastest decline in Putin's trust rating since the start of the war in early July, when the figure fell by 1.8 percentage points in a single week.

FOM and VTsIOM pollsters began recording a decline in Putin's ratings in spring 2026. The decline was linked, among other things, to internet restrictions and the blocking of Telegram. The drop in ratings has continued against the backdrop of a fuel crisis in Russia.
