Details: The General Staff said Ukrainian forces struck the Slavneft-YANOS oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl on 16 July, reporting a direct hit that caused a fire at the facility.

The facility is one of Russia's largest refineries, processing around 15 million tonnes of oil per year, the General Staff said. The plant produces fuel and other petroleum products used, among other things, for the needs of Russia's military-industrial complex and armed forces.

Ukraine's defence forces also struck two tankers, a gas carrier and a tugboat in the waters of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

The General Staff said the tankers were used to transport Russian oil, petroleum products and liquefied gas in circumvention of international sanctions and to carry fuel for the Russian forces.

During the same period, Ukrainian forces struck a Project 10410 Svetlyak-class patrol ship, the TES-Terminal-1 oil terminal, and a fuel and lubricants depot in Kerch, Russian-occupied Crimea.

Quote: "Project 10410 Svetlyak-class ships are designed to patrol territorial waters and escort ships and vessels and can also be deployed to support the operations of Russia's naval forces and other security agencies."

More details: In addition, the Shakhtarsk oil depot in occupied Donetsk Oblast came under attack, along with a railway bridge over the Kalmius River near Staromarivka and a road bridge near Kozino in Russia's Kursk Oblast. The General Staff reported that the Russians used these bridges for military logistics.

During the same period, Ukraine's defence forces also struck a Russian logistics and materiel depot near Pokrovsk and a command and observation post near Novotroitske in Donetsk Oblast.

Information is being gathered on the extent of the damage caused.
