Ukraine's Roboneers unveils new turret armed with two Kalashnikov rifles

Ukrainian defence technology company Roboneers has unveiled a new version of its Shablia K-2 remote-controlled weapon station. The system was presented during an event organised by Tech Force in UA.

Details: The main feature of the new version is the ability to mount two AK-74 assault rifles.

"This solution doubles the volume of fire and provides reliable close-range cover for infantry. Depending on the tactical situation, the operator can fire the left rifle, the right rifle or both simultaneously," a company representative said.

The weapon station can be controlled either via cable or through Starlink. It can also be integrated into the unified network of a ground robotic system, ensuring a stable connection with the operator's control unit.

The power system includes a built-in backup power source and can also operate from a ground robotic system or an external battery, enabling the module to be installed on various platforms.

For surveillance and targeting, the Shablia K-2 is equipped with a wide-angle daytime camera for situational awareness, a narrow-angle daytime camera for precision fire, and a thermal imaging camera for night-time operations and low-visibility conditions.
