Ukraine's Security Service reports strikes on refineries, radar station and military airfields in Russia and Crimea

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has said that it carried out a series of long-range strikes on oil refining facilities, fuel infrastructure and a radar station in Russia and temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 23-24 July.

Details: According to the SSU, the following sites were hit:

• the Subkhankulovo line production dispatch station in Bashkortostan, where, according to the service, a fire broke out at a tank farm
• the Novospassky mini-refinery in Ulyanovsk Oblast, where a fire also broke out at a tank farm
• the 1st Plant mini-refinery in Kaluga Oblast
• a Nebo-U long-range radar station at the Belbek military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea
• a fuel and lubricants tank at the Saky military airfield in occupied Crimea.

Quote: "The SSU continues to improve its long-range special operations. In a single night, the service's drones carried out synchronised strikes on several regions, different types of targets and at varying depths inside Russian territory. This approach significantly complicates the enemy's ability to respond and forces it to disperse its air defence forces and equipment."

Background: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously reported that Ukraine's defence forces had struck a Russian military industrial facility in Kirov and an oil facility located nearly 1,350 km from the Ukrainian border.
