Quote: "Another 18 energy nodes were hit between 25 and 27 July in Crimea and other occupied territories by drones of USF. The total during the operation from 1 to 27 July reached 154 energy targets. The Ilyich [household – ed.] lightbulb flickered in support of blackouts in Simferopol, Bakhchysarai, Sudak, Alushta, Hurzuf, Feodosiia and other occupied settlements in Crimea."

Details: The USF struck 14 facilities in Crimea and four more in temporarily occupied parts of Luhansk, Kherson and Donetsk oblasts. The targets included electrical substations with capacities ranging from 110 kV to 330 kV.

Background:

  • On the night of 21-22 July, Ukrainian drones attacked temporarily occupied Crimea, hitting energy infrastructure.
  • Due to repeated USF strikes on energy facilities, the power supply situation in Crimea has deteriorated: regions are regularly left without electricity, sometimes for several days, and in most cases there are not even scheduled outage timetables.
