A leak of a hazardous chemical substance occurred following a Russian attack on a critical infrastructure facility in Poltava Oblast on Sunday, but the threat was eliminated.

Chemical protection experts from the State Emergency Service have sealed the damaged containers and the points of leakage despite the difficult conditions."

Details: The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said the threat has been fully eliminated thanks to a rapid response by rescuers, allowing work at the facility to continue safely.

Background: Russian drones hit two industrial facilities and a critical infrastructure site in the Poltava district on the morning of 2 August.

The attack caused temporary emergency power and gas supply outages.
