Russia attacks energy infrastructure in six regions, leaving people without electricity

Parts of Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Sumy, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv and Kherson oblasts have been temporarily left without electricity due to ongoing combat actions and Russian attacks on energy infrastructure.

Quote: "Repair work is under way wherever the security situation allows. Power engineers are doing everything they can to restore electricity to Ukrainian homes as quickly as possible."

Details: The ministry added that no electricity consumption restrictions are expected during the day but urged consumers to shift their peak electricity use to daylight hours, before 16:00.

Background: On 2 August, Russian drone strikes on a critical infrastructure facility in Poltava Oblast caused emergency power and gas outages.
