Zelenskyy dismisses Stefanishyna as Ukraine's ambassador to US

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Olha Stefanishyna from her post as Ukraine's ambassador to the United States.

Quote: "Olha Stefanishyna shall be dismissed from the post of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Ukraine to the United States of America."

Details: Stefanishyna had held the post for almost a year. Zelenskyy signed the decree appointing her ambassador on 27 August 2025.

Before that, Stefanishyna spent a month as the president's special envoy for developing cooperation with the US, after stepping down as deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Background: In late July, Stefanishyna said that Zelenskyy had not asked her to resign.
