Russia attacks Ukraine with six ballistic missiles overnight, none intercepted – Ukraine's Air Force

Russian forces attacked Ukraine with six missiles and 151 drones of various types on the night of 7-8 August.

Details: Russia deployed Iskander-M ballistic missiles, S-400 surface-to-air missiles and drones of various types.

Early reports indicate that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 135 drones.

Hits by missiles and 13 UAVs have been recorded at 12 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at seven locations.

The Air Force also reported that several missiles had failed to reach targets. The information is being confirmed.

At the time of the report, the attack was ongoing, as several Russian drones were still in Ukrainian airspace.

Background: Russian forces struck the Brovary district in Kyiv Oblast overnight, killing three people, including a child, and injuring three others.
