Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces strike air defence systems and 3 Russian vessels in Black Sea

Units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) struck an oil tanker and two cargo ships belonging to Russia's shadow fleet in the Black Sea, as well as a Russian air defence position and equipment, on the night of 8-9 August.

Details: According to Magyar, the 413th Raid Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment struck an oil tanker in the Black Sea and, working jointly with the 412th Nemesis Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, they also hit two cargo ships.

In Russia's Gelendzhik, the Ukrainian forces struck an S-400 air defence position, Magyar said.

Quote from Magyar: "The Birds finally got that Gelendzhik air defence system launcher, which had been launching six missiles from 9:25 to 12:51 on 8 August and had been a nuisance for a long time. The S-400 position in Gelendzhik, on the shore, right next to the catacombs, burned and smouldered for three hours."

More details: Magyar added that the 1st Separate Unmanned Systems Forces Centre struck a Tor air defence system in Pudovy, Rostov Oblast; a Pantsir-S1 air defence system in Yeysk, Krasnodar Krai; as well as a Podlet-K1 radar in Golovatovka and a Kasta 2E2 radar in Latonovo, Rostov Oblast.

"Over the course of 24 hours, units of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck or destroyed 1,605 enemy targets," the USF reported.

Background: The Unmanned Systems Forces struck three Russian vessels in one day on 7 August. Magyar also said that 12 vessels from the remaining shadow fleet had been targeted by drones in the Black and Azov seas between 1 and 8 August as part of the USF's MoLoChKa operation.
