Russian forces strike German-owned company in Zhytomyr Oblast, forcing it to suspend operations
On the night of 8-9 August, Russian forces struck and damaged civilian infrastructure facilities as well as a private company with German investment.

Details: According to preliminary information, three people were injured. One person was hospitalized with burns, while two others suffered acute stress reactions.
A house was hit, and debris fell on residential buildings and outbuildings.
Update: Over the course of the day, it became clear that the targeted company was Kromberg & Schubert Zhytomyr. The company's press service said the attack caused significant damage and extensive destruction to its production facilities and infrastructure.
No employees were injured.
"Due to significant damage, the company is forced to temporarily suspend operations for an indefinite period.
The timeframe for resuming operations will become clear after the technical assessment is completed and the full scope of the required repair work is determined," the statement said.
Kromberg & Schubert Zhytomyr is a civilian manufacturing company with 100% German investment that has operated in Zhytomyr Oblast for 11 years.
It manufactures electrical wiring systems for foreign car brands, including MAN and Škoda.
