Russian forces attack Ukrnafta's oil and gas production facilities

On the night of 8-9 August, Russian forces launched a massive attack on production assets and a drilling site of Ukrnafta, a Ukrainian state-owned oil and natural gas extraction company.

Details: The attack involved dozens of strike drones. The site sustained significant damage, with some equipment now out of service. Operations at the facility have been suspended.

No one was injured in the attack.

On 7 and 8 August, seven Ukrnafta filling stations in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Mykolaiv oblasts also came under attack by Russian drones.

One of the Russian strikes injured a filling station employee. He is currently in hospital.

Also on 8 August, Russian forces attacked Naftogaz production facilities in central Ukraine with jet-powered drones. Personnel were in a shelter at the time of the strike. The targeted facility sustained extensive damage.

Background: On 3 August, three people, including an eight-year-old boy, were killed in a Russian strike on an Ukrnafta filling station in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.
