Seven people injured in Russian attacks on Sumy Oblast

Seven people were injured in Russian attacks across Sumy Oblast on 12 August, including an 81-year-old man who was injured while driving a two-wheeled tractor that struck an explosive device.

Details: Three women and a man were injured in a mortar attack on the Seredyna-Buda hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

A 61-year-old woman was injured in a Russian drone strike on the Shostka hromada. A 62-year-old man was injured when a drone hit the Lebedyn hromada.

An 81-year-old man was injured in the Hlukhiv hromada when the two-wheeled tractor he was driving struck an explosive device.

Police reported that Russian forces had targeted the oblast with guided aerial bombs, attack UAVs, FPV drones, artillery and mortars throughout the day.

Police investigative teams were working at the sites of the strikes to document the effects.
