Some 11,000 residents remain in active combat zone in Donetsk Oblast, all children evacuated

Dmytro Petlin, a representative of Donetsk Oblast Military Administration, has said that 11,000 civilians remain in active combat areas in Donetsk Oblast, while all children have been evacuated.

Details: Petlin said the last two children from Mykolaivka had been evacuated on 15 August.

Overall, about 108,400 civilians currently remain in the government-controlled part of Donetsk Oblast, including around 5,500 children.

Petlin also said that since the beginning of August, more than 9,400 people have been evacuated or left the oblast on their own, including 740 children.

In total, more than 1.425 million people have been evacuated from their permanent places of residence in the government-controlled part of Donetsk Oblast since February 2022, including more than 213,000 children.

Mandatory evacuation of civilians in Donetsk Oblast has been ongoing since 2 August 2022.
