Details: The ministry noted that the missions are recorded in Delta, a Ukrainian digital battlefield-management system that gives military personnel a real-time picture of the battlefield by combining data from drones, satellites, sensors and other sources. The system allows commanders to track enemy and friendly forces, identify targets and coordinate operations through a single digital platform.
According to the Defence Ministry, the number of missions carried out by ground robotic systems has increased every month since the beginning of the year. The monthly figures are:
- January – 7,511
- February – 7,960
- March – 9,072
- April – 11,028
- May – 14,059
- June – 16,664
- July – 19,969
- 1-20 August – 15,729.
The Defence Ministry said ground drones carried out the most missions in July.
"Meanwhile, the need for ground robotic systems continues to grow steadily. In order to significantly expand their use along the battlefield, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has substantially increased procurement volumes and the identified level of demand for ground robotic systems this year," the ministry stressed.
Key supply and procurement figures since the beginning of 2026:
- Over 22,000 ground robotic systems have been contracted, almost twice as many as during the whole of the previous year
- Service members have ordered ground robotic systems worth almost UAH 1.9 billion (US$42.5 million) through the Brave1 Market marketplace under the e-Points programme. [E-points are earned by Ukrainian units for confirmed strikes on Russian soldiers and equipment – ed.]
Background: It was previously reported that Ukrainian defence company Tencore and Finnish company Insta will establish a joint venture to manufacture Ukrainian TerMIT 2.0 ground robotic systems for Ukraine's defence forces.
