Woman killed and her 10-year-old daughter injured in Russian drone strike on house in Zmiiv, Kharkiv Oblast

A Russian drone struck a residential building in the city of Zmiiv in Kharkiv Oblast on the evening of 27 August, killing a 38-year-old woman and leaving her 10-year-old daughter and another woman suffering from shock.

Details: Russian forces attacked Zmiiv with a drone, preliminarily identified as a Geran-3, at around 20:25.

Quote from the Prosecutor's Office: "The strike killed a 38-year-old woman. Her 10-year-old daughter and a 61-year-old woman are suffering from shock.

The attack also caused a fire, destroying the residential building. At least five other houses were damaged."

Details: Law enforcement officers have launched a pre-trial investigation into the war crime that resulted in a person's death.
