Russian strikes leave consumers without electricity in four Ukrainian regions

New power outages were reported in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv and Kyiv oblasts as of the morning of 28 August.

Details: Where safety conditions permit, power engineers are carrying out emergency repairs to restore electricity supplies to consumers as quickly as possible.

Ukrenergo advises consumers to shift energy-intensive activities to between 11:00 and 15:00, when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently.

In the evening, from 18:00 to 22:00, consumers are asked not to switch on several high-power electrical appliances at the same time.

The energy company warned that the situation in the power grid may change. Consumers are advised to check the latest information on the websites and official pages of their regional power distribution companies.

Background: On the night of 27-28 August, Russia attacked Ukraine with 164 strike drones. Ukrainian air defence downed 137 Russian aerial assets.
