UK and France discuss launch of SCALP missile assembly in Ukraine

British Prime Minister Andy Burnham and French President Emmanuel Macron have discussed further steps towards establishing assembly lines for long-range SCALP missiles in Ukraine, the production of which uses French and British technologies.

Details: The leaders agreed that it is critically important to work together to find a way forward to protect shared interests.

"On Ukraine, they discussed next steps on establishing local assembly lines in Ukraine for the long-range missile, SCALP, which uses British technology, and reflected on the successful Coalition of the Willing meeting in Kyiv last week," the statement reads.
