Details: "As the attack occurred before the start of the working day, no employees were injured. All administrative staff have been moved to remote working," the company said.
Forest protection workers from nearby forest units who are not currently on duty are clearing the rubble and removing equipment that survived the attack.
Forests of Ukraine noted that the security situation in the Ukrainian-controlled part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast has deteriorated significantly. Despite this, four of the company's forest units continue to carry out some forest operations in the region.
"This work becomes particularly important ahead of the heating season, when demand for firewood increases. The Zaporizhzhia Forest Branch supplies firewood to 16 hospitals, around 30 checkpoints and hundreds of families in villages in the north of the oblast," the company said.
To minimise risks to employees, Forests of Ukraine has provided frontline forest units in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk oblasts with 10 drone detectors. Employees have also been equipped with modern radios for the rapid exchange of information.
With assistance from the military, special software has been installed on employees' mobile phones that allows them to track the routes of Russian UAVs.
