Trump says he will demand money from Europe for Ukraine aid provided under Biden

US President Donald Trump has declared that he intends to seek compensation from European countries for American aid to Ukraine that Washington provided under the Biden administration.

Details: Most of Trump's post was devoted to assurances that the United States has sufficient ammunition amid the war in Iran.

"In addition, we are producing Munitions at levels never seen before. We are stockpiling and preparing for any contingency that could happen. We are taking them for ourselves, the US, rather than selling them to others, but the sales to Allies will soon again, begin," he said.

Trump also claimed that the Biden administration gave Ukraine far more ammunition than has been used during the Iran campaign.

"Hundreds of Billions of Dollars was given to Ukraine and NATO, free of charge, that Europe would have paid for – If they were only asked, but we will be asking for that money, though somewhat belatedly!" he wrote.

Ukraine's European partners now purchase weapons from the US for Ukraine through the PURL initiative, which allows European NATO allies and Canada, as well as other Ukrainian partners, to purchase US-made ammunition and weapons and subsequently transfer them to Ukraine.
