Russian forces attack energy infrastructure in five Ukrainian oblasts
New power outages have been recorded in five oblasts of the country as a result of a large-scale Russian strike on the morning of 8 September.

Details: The affected areas are Sumy, Donetsk, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhzhia and Kyiv oblasts, as well as the city of Kyiv.
"Emergency repair work is already underway where security conditions permit. Energy workers are doing everything possible to bring power back to all subscribers as quickly as possible," the statement reads.
Energy workers are asking consumers to shift active electricity use to between 11:00 and 15:00.
Background: Fires broke out at warehouse premises and on the grounds of a private school in the capital as a result of a Russian attack on the night of 7-8 September.
