Ukrainian company unveils RAM-2X strike drone for first time, used to hit over 450 targets – photo, video
Ukrainian company Ukrspecsystems, which develops reconnaissance and strike drones, has publicly unveiled its RAM-2X strike UAV with an X-shaped wing for the first time. The drone was presented at the MSPO defence exhibition in Poland.

Details: The RAM-2X was designed to strike high-value targets at ranges of up to 180 km. The drone can remain airborne for more than two hours and has a high degree of automation. It can carry a 2.7 kg or 3.5 kg explosively formed penetrator warhead.
"Each type of equipment performs its own task, and every target requires an appropriate means of engagement. Following a comprehensive approach, we are developing strike systems in several subclasses at once, built around standardised components, a common ground station and unified software," Ukrspecsystems representatives said.
The RAM-2X can also use various AI assistant models to improve its effectiveness and operate with different communications systems. The drone can use several radio-frequency bands or Starlink.
In addition, the RAM-2X can operate together with a SHARK-M reconnaissance UAV acting as a communications relay. In this configuration, the reconnaissance drone provides targeting data and helps overcome enemy electronic warfare systems.
Ukrspecsystems says RAM loitering munitions have struck more than 450 targets. Although footage of these drones being used in combat has regularly appeared in the public domain, the company was unable for a long time to publicly confirm its connection to RAM due to security restrictions.
Ukrspecsystems has now decided to open its own "X-Files", a series of publications featuring footage of the drones being used in combat. The first compilation focuses on strikes against Russian air defence systems. Its publication was approved by the military.
"These are targets that are themselves designed to hunt drones. There are simply no more difficult targets for a strike drone. Secondly, because of their value, they are better camouflaged and positioned further from the front line. That is why striking an air defence system or radar demonstrates the key capabilities: the system's ability to overcome electronic warfare and enemy defences and operate far beyond the line of contact," Ukrspecsystems representatives explained, describing why they chose to publish footage of strikes on air defence systems first.
