Ukraine needs more air-defence systems after Pavlohrad attack – foreign minister

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has said that Russia's drone attack on the city of Pavlohrad was deliberate terror against civilians aimed at exhausting Ukraine and forcing it to make concessions.

Details: Sybiha added that Russia systematically attacks places where people gather in broad daylight to increase the number of casualties and spread fear, as it still has missiles, drones, components, funds and a sense of impunity.

Sybiha stressed that the capitals of Ukraine's partner countries have "no time for another round of concern and deliberation", as the weapons needed to stop the terror and solutions to weaken Russia's war machine already exist.

Quote: "Ukraine needs additional air defence systems and interceptors now. Sanctions must hit Russia's weapons production and the supply chains that keep it running. Russian revenues financing this terror must be cut."

Background: On 10 September, Russian forces attacked a shopping centre in central Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The attack killed five people and injured 67, including eight children.
