Power outages after Russian attacks spread to twice as many Ukrainian oblasts

As of the morning of 11 September, Russian drone attacks and artillery shelling have caused new power outages in seven oblasts: Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Donetsk.

Details: The geographical extent of the damage has more than doubled over the past 24 hours. On 10 September, Ukrenergo reported power outages in three oblasts: Chernihiv, Donetsk and Kharkiv.

Repair work is already under way wherever the security situation allows. The company says energy workers are doing everything possible to restore power to all consumers as quickly as possible.

Energy workers recommend shifting electricity consumption to the period between 10:00 and 16:00, when industrial solar power plants operate most efficiently. Ukrenergo warned that the situation in the power system may change and advised consumers to follow updates from their regional electricity distribution companies.

Background: On the night of 10-11 September, the Russians attacked Ukraine with an S8000 Banderol missile and 161 attack drones, 138 of which were destroyed.
