Details: Early reports from monitoring Telegram channels indicate that the KuibyshevAzot chemical plant in Tolyatti may have been targeted. Eyewitnesses posted videos showing a fire at an industrial site in the city.

KuibyshevAzot is one of Russia's largest manufacturers of chemical products. It specialises in the production of ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate, caprolactam and polyamide, which are of critical importance to Russia's defence industry.

Meanwhile, a series of explosions was heard in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast, followed by several fires.

According to an Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis by Russian media outlet Astra, one of the columns of smoke is rising from the area of Taganrog-Central air base, which is home to Russia's 708th Military Transport Aviation Regiment.

The 325th Aircraft Repair Plant is also located near the air base. It specialises in the repair of transport aircraft and the manufacture of components for them.

In addition, satellite images from NASA's FIRMS system have captured fires on the premises of TagAZ, an automotive assembly plant located in Taganrog. Monitoring Telegram channels reported that a storage tank had caught fire.

The site of the defunct car plant is used for various industrial and military purposes, including the assembly of strike drones.

Fedorishchev reported overnight that air defence had repelled a "large-scale UAV attack".

Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported that operations at Kurumoch International Airport in Samara had been suspended.

At present, the nature and extent of the damage at the Russian facilities require confirmation. The editorial team is unable to independently verify social media reports in real time.
