Russia attacks Kyiv with drones: petrol stations hit

Russian forces are attacking Kyiv with jet-powered drones on the morning of 11 September, with strikes recorded at petrol stations in two districts.

At 10:07, Klitschko reported a repeat strike on a petrol station in the Obolonskyi district.

The Air Force warned of jet-powered drones over the capital. A red alert has been declared in the city and air defence systems are operational.

Background:

• On 10 September, Russian forces struck a petrol station in the Holosiivskyi district of Kyiv with a drone, injuring four people.
• Serhii Fedorenko, acting head of Naftogaz, reported that a jet-powered drone attacked a Ukrnafta filling station in Kyiv. He noted that under safety regulations the station was not operating while the air-raid warning was in effect, but people who were near the station were injured.
