Ukraine's defence forces strike radar from S-400 Triumf system in Russia's Sochi

On 13 September and on the night of 13-14 September, units of Ukraine's defence forces struck a number of important military facilities belonging to Russia.

Quote: "In Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia, a multifunctional 92N6 radar station from the S-400 Triumf surface-to-air missile system was struck."

Details: This concerns a multifunctional radar station that tracks aerial assets and guides surface-to-air missiles onto them. Within the S-400 system, this station is one of the key elements directly responsible for carrying out the air defence system's firing tasks.

Quote: "In the areas of the city of Kursk, Russia's Kursk Oblast, and the [temporarily occupied Ukrainian] city of Donetsk, storage, preparation and launch sites for attack drones were struck. In Novohrodivka, Donetsk Oblast – a drone control point belonging to a unit. In Litizh, Trostenchyk and Lypovka of Russia's Bryansk Oblast, enemy radar stations were struck."

More details: The General Staff also reported that a short-range navigation radio system belonging to the Russians was struck in the area of Saky airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea. Three Russian relay stations were also struck in Rokhmanove, Krasnyi Stiah and Kamin, Russia's Bryansk Oblast.

The General Staff said the extent of the damage caused is being assessed.

Background: Earlier, the General Staff reported that Ukraine's defence forces struck two Pantsir systems and a Russian defence-industry plant on 10 September and on the night of 10-11 September.
