Ukraine exposes data on Russia's largest unsanctioned radio-electronics holding company

Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) has published data on companies belonging to the Concern Radio-Electronic Technologies (KRET) JSC – Russia's largest radio-electronics holding company, which supplies the Russian military-industrial complex. One-third of them are not subject to any international sanctions.

Quote: "On the War&Sanctions portal, DIU publishes data on 54 Russian enterprises that are part of, or managed by, the KRET JSC of the aggressor state corporation Rostec."

Details: At present, 19 of the 54 listed enterprises are not under sanctions by any nation within the sanctions coalition.

"Adding the military-industrial complex enterprises of the aggressor state Russia to international sanctions lists, enforcing effective compliance control and ensuring inevitable punishment for violations are key to restoring peace and stability to Europe and the wider world," DIU emphasised.

The company specialises in creating electronic warfare (EW) systems, state identification systems (IFF), and onboard radio-electronic equipment for Russian fighter jets and helicopters.

Additionally, the holding company's enterprises manufacture electric motors, navigation and flight-control systems for unmanned aerial systems (UAV), anti-drone systems and remote control platforms for machine guns.

As noted by DIU, the concern also plays a crucial role in the production of Russian ballistic missiles, specifically:

• Stavropol Radio Plant Signal produces and supplies S200A1 compact jamming stations for 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
• Kaluga Research Institute of Radio Engineering supplies 3B228 radio-electronic protection system modules for 3M22 Zircon ballistic missiles
• KRET JSC, as the parent company, directly covers funding shortfalls for state defence order contracts executed by the concern's enterprises

Among the enterprises currently not subject to sanctions are the following:

• Inertial Technologies of Technokompleks JSC, which manufactures and supplies strapdown inertial navigation systems for Kh-59M2/Kh-59M2A air-to-surface missiles and Orion UAVs
• Tambov Plant Elektropribor JSC – a supplier of gyroscopic-inertial pieces for 9M727 Iskander cruise missile systems
• Ulan-Ude Instrument-Making Production Association JSC – a manufacturer of aircraft automation units, radio navigation equipment and electric motors for UAVs

Background: Recently, DIU also published data on 155 enterprises belonging to the Russian holding company Roselectronica, which manufacture components for Russian weaponry, including ballistic missiles, aviation, UAVs and EW systems. Almost half of those companies are not under any sanctions from partner nations.
