Amstor shopping centre in Zaporizhzhia destroyed by fire after evening Russian attack – photos
A shopping centre in the city of Zaporizhzhia has been destroyed as a result of a Russian drone attack on the evening of 17 September. By the morning of 18 September, firefighters had extinguished fires covering a total area of more than 10,000 sq m.

Details: The SES reported that a fire had broken out, the Amstor shopping centre had been destroyed and one person had been injured.
Quote from the SES: "Firefighters extinguished fires covering a total area of more than 10,000 sq m. The work was complicated by constant threats of repeat enemy strikes, which forced firefighters to retreat to shelters."
More details: The Ukrainian Retailers Association said another fire had broken out at the Amstor shopping centre on 11 September, when flames spread across an area of around 500 sq m.
Danish home furnishing retailer Jysk reported suffering significant damage and financial losses in the 11 September attack. The chain announced it was closing its shop at Amstor indefinitely.
Fly Kids, a chain of family recreation centres, previously reported the temporary closure of its venue at the Amstor shopping centre. The attraction had been closed since 1 September.
Update: On 19 September, Silpo reported that one of the chain's stores had been destroyed in the attack on the Amstor shopping centre.
Quote from Silpo: "This is already our third supermarket in Zaporizhzhia to have been hit by the enemy over the past month."
