Trains across Ukraine delayed by up to 14 hours due to Russian attacks

Ukrainian trains are experiencing significant delays due to Russian attacks, with the Dnipro-Uzhhorod and Zaporizhzhia-Przemysl services already running 13 hours and 40 minutes late.

Details: Most delays affect routes running through southern regions of Ukraine. In particular, trains to and from Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia are experiencing the longest delays.

There are also delays on routes to and from Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv and Cherkasy.

In the event of increased danger, trains are stopped. Passengers are urged to follow evacuation procedures, move to shelters or keep a safe distance of more than 200 m from railway infrastructure.

Ukrzaliznytsia also reported a number of delays affecting commuter trains. For example, the Cherkasy-Uman train is running almost four and a half hours late, while the Samiilivka-Dnipro is delayed by four hours.

Background: On 17 September, a Russian attack seriously damaged a railway station in Berestyn, Kharkiv Oblast, and the infrastructure of Kyiv's circular commuter rail service. Some passenger trains were diverted onto alternative routes, resulting in delays of about six hours.
