Russia damages railway station in Berestyn: trains delayed by up to six hours – photos
A Russian attack has severely damaged a railway station in Berestyn, Kharkiv Oblast, and infrastructure used by Kyiv's circular commuter rail service. Some passenger trains will take an alternative route and are expected to be delayed by about six hours.

Details: At the moment of the strike, passengers and station staff in Berestyn were in a shelter, so no one was injured. The company is assessing the damage, and there are no plans to cancel trains to the city.
In Kyiv, infrastructure at Mykilska Slobidka station was damaged. The Kyiv City Express is running on a limited loop, bypassing the Darnytsia-Pochaina section. Repairs are expected to take around a day.
Glass and doors of an electric-powered train, a depot and several other railway facilities were also damaged.
Trains No. 7/8 Odesa-Kharkiv and No. 53/54 Dnipro-Odesa will take an alternative route. Estimated journey times will increase by six hours.

- On 27 August, Russian attacks caused Ukrainian Railways trains to run more than 10 hours late. For example, the Kharkiv-Chełm train was running 11 hours and 30 minutes late.
