Large fires in Zaporizhzhia: Russians strike shopping centre and high-rise buildings, injuring six – photos, videos

A Russian attack on the city of Zaporizhzhia has damaged civilian infrastructure, including two high-rise residential buildings, an educational institution and a shopping centre. At least six people have been injured.

Quote from Fedorov: "One person has been injured in an enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia. Two high-rise buildings, an educational institution and a shopping centre have been damaged."

Early reports indicate that one of the strikes hit the Intrade shopping centre.

State Emergency Service units, medics and other services are working at the sites of the strikes. Efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.

Fedorov also said that Russian forces had attacked one of the buildings of a higher education institution in Zaporizhzhia.

Quote from Fedorov: "Strikes on educational institutions where our young people study are yet another proof of the enemy's blatant cynicism."

Update: Semikin reported in the morning that the number of people injured in the Russian attack had risen to six. All of them are receiving the necessary medical treatment.

Rescue workers were working at the sites of the strikes throughout the night. Some of the fires have been extinguished, while efforts to deal with the aftermath of the attack are ongoing.
