Vivaldi offensive operation: Ukraine liberates three more villages near Lyman
Ukrainian fighters have liberated the settlements of Nove, Ridkodub and Katerynivka on the Lyman front in the north of Donetsk Oblast.

Details: Andrii Biletskyi, Commander of the 3rd Army Corps, reported that the liberation of these settlements took place as part of the third stage of the Vivaldi offensive operation. He also announced that control had been established over the villages of Karpivka and Novomykhailivka.
According to Biletskyi, the settlement of Nove served as a key hub for the Russian army on this front.
Quote: "Overall, during this stage, we reclaimed 51 sq km of Ukrainian land. This stage was of pivotal significance for the entire operation."
Background:
- On 25 September, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that the Ukrainian operation in the Lyman area was not yet complete. "There is positive news there – in the direction of Lyman and beyond," he stated.
- On 15 September, the 3rd Army Corps reported mopping up 75 sq km and liberating a further 10 sq km as part of counteroffensive operations in the northern part of Donetsk Oblast.
- On 20 September, the 3rd Army Corps liberated the villages of Shandryholove and Derylove in Donetsk Oblast and established full control over Drobysheve as part of its Vivaldi offensive operation.
