Boy aged 13 injured during Russian strike on Kharkiv Oblast dies in hospital

Thirteen-year-old Oleksandr Tsiatska, who sustained severe burns as a result of a Russian strike on the village of Katerynivka in Kharkiv Oblast on 21 September, has died. His mother was killed in the same attack.

Details: According to Zelenskyi, doctors tried to save Oleksandr's life, but he died from his injuries.

Oleksandr suffered burns to approximately 60% of his body, with 20% being critically severe.

Background: On 21 September, Russian forces struck a house in the village of Katerynivka in the Lozova hromada in Kharkiv Oblast, using a drone. Oleksandr's mother, Iryna Tsiatska, was killed during the attack. Thirteen-year-old Oleksandr was hospitalised with severe burns. According to Zelenskyi, Iryna was a master craftswoman and volunteer who assisted the Ukrainian military.
